Water Bus Round Trip Fare Dh4 from Tomorrow in Dubai

DUBAI — The new water bus service will cost commuters Dh4 for a round trip ticket from Sunday.

The round trip travel must take place over one day, according to a decision made at last week’s meeting of the Road and Transport Authority’s board of directors.

The board also approved a new water bus line to provide shuttle service between the Creek Park, Seef and Bur Dubai stations. “The service is run at one-hour intervals, with a two-minute stopover at stations,” said Mohammad Obaid Al Mulla, CEO of RTA’s Marine Agency. “The whole trip takes about 25 minutes.”

Tickets, which travellers can obtain from the driver or from an electronic dispenser, will be valid for both directions of the trip.

The line will expand the RTA’s marine bus coverage to eight lines which cross the creek, alleviating traffic on the roads. The water buses now service Sabkha, Seef, Bani Yas, Dubai Old Souk, Bur Dubai, Shindagha, Deira Old Souk and Creek Park stations.
